IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT
Due to the current situation with COVID-19 and social distancing practice, and in the interest of everyone’s health and safety, it is with regret that we feel we have little option but to cancel the Dorchester Dash 10k, Silver Fox Trot 2k and Junior 1k on 11 October 2020. Refunds will be offered and all runners will be contacted. We are also looking into the viability of hosting the event on a virtual basis so you can still get your medal. We will be in touch with details soon.
Starting and finishing at Dorchester Sports Centre and heading out into beautiful local scenery including Maiden Castle. This is a one-lap route which starts from Dorchester Sports Centre onto quiet urban roads before heading up to and around Maiden Castle. The course profile has an undulating gradient with a couple of challenging hills. Scenic views of the countryside add to the attraction of this event. Runners of all abilities are welcome.

- Registration - 8.15 am (race numbers and timing chips to be collected on race day)
- Entry fee - Affiliated & 1610 members = £16 / Unaffiliated = £18 (£2 extra on the day is spaces available)
- Start time - 10.00 am
- Minimum age of 15 (16 on or before 31/12/20)

Junior 1k Fun Run
Registration for the Junior 1k Fun Run opens at 8.30 am in the main foyer of the sports centre and costs £2.50 per person which includes a medal. The 1k fun run will start at 10.15 am at the main start line. It's open to children of all ages and will all be off-road, however, we ask that very young runners are accompanied by an adult.
Silver Fox Trot 2k
A ‘bitesize’ version of the main course aimed at the more mature participant who would like to get involved but with a slower pace and shorter distance! Walk, jog, or run—this one’s all about FUN, with a medal for everyone. Price £2.50 per entry. Enter online or on the day. Starts at 8.30 am.

The Dorchester Dash 10k is part of the 1610 Race Series, consisting of three 10k races and our family 5k & 2k fun run - which are all located in Somerset and Dorset. Complete all three of our 10k runs (Bridgwater, Dorchester and Shepton) to bag yourself our new 1610 medal collection. Click for details of all 1610 Race Series events.
