Brand new event for 2018.
Starting and finishing at Dorchester Sports Centre and heading out into beautiful local scenery including Maiden Castle. This is a one lap route which starts from the Dorchester Sports Centre onto quiet urban roads before heading up to and around Maidens Castle. The course profile has an undulating gradient with a couple of challenging hills. Scenic views of the countryside add to the attraction of this event.

- Venue: Dorchester Sports Centre, Coburg Road, Dorchester, DT1 2HR
- Registration - 8.15am (race numbers and timing chips to be collected on race day)
- Entry fee - Affiliated & 1610 members = £14 / Unaffiliated = £16 (£2 extra on the day)
- Start time - 10.00am
- Minimum age of 15 (16 on or before 31/12/18)

Junior 1k Fun Run
Registration for the Junior 1k Fun Run opens at 8.30am in the main foyer of the sports centre and costs £2.50 per person which includes a medal. The 1k fun run will start at 10.15am at the main start line. Its open to children of all ages and will all be off road, however we ask that very young runners are accompanied by an adult.
Part of the 1610 Race Series
The Dorchester Dash 10k is part of the 1610 Race Series, consisting of four 10k races and a family 5k and 2k fun run and are all located across the counties of Somerset and Dorset. Complete all of our 10k runs and bag yourself our new 1610 medal collection. Each medal fits pleasingly together to form an image on the reverse.
By taking part in the 1610 Race Series you are fundraising for your local 1610 leisure centre, providing sports and leisure facilities for the whole community.
