Dorchester Dash Triathlon 2017

Take a “Dash” through stunning scenery and magnificent historic landscapes and sign up to the Dorchester Dash Triathlon which sets off from Dorchester Sports Centre on Sunday 16 July 2017.
We have moved the date from August back to Sunday 16 July 2017.
Starting at the Centre's indoor 25m pool, competitors take on a 400m (16 length) swim which will be followed by a 24km scenic bike course which exits Dorchester via Poundbury and takes them to the summit of the climb of the historic Hardy's Monument. Returning to the Sports Centre, competitors then tackle the 5km run route which visits Maiden Castle, an Iron Age Hill Fort, which dates back to 4000BC.
Based at Dorchester Sports Centre on the Thomas Hardye School site the Centre offers those taking part in the race, refreshments as well as use of the swimming pool, changing-rooms, toilets and showers.

- Registration - 6.30am (race numbers and timing chips to be collected on race day)
- Start time - 8.00am
- Single entrants - BTF Affiliated & 1610 members = £35 / Unaffiliated = £40
- Relay teams - BTF Affiliated & 1610 members = £45 / Unaffiliated = £50
- Minimum age of 15 (16 on or before 31/12/17)
- Finishers medals and age group prizes

The Dorchester Dash is part of the 1610 Race Series, consisting of four 10k races, a sprint triathlon and our family 5k & 2k fun run - which are all located across the counties of Somerset and Dorset.
By taking part in the 1610 Race Series you are fundraising for your local 1610 leisure centre, providing sports and leisure facilities for the whole community.
