17 March 2019
Come and have a go at the Hestercombe Woodland Wander 5k and 2k Fun Run on Sunday 17 March 2019 at 9.30am. No times, no pressure, this event is all about fun and is great for beginners and those running for the first time.
Its also great for dog lovers as again we are opening this event to your four legged friends who can run alongside you on a lead. There will be medals at the finish line and tasty treats (provided by Monkton Elm Garden & Pet Centre) and water for the doggies. FREE bandana for all dogs.
Did you know that exercising with your dog has so many benefits! Check out what the Dog Fit community has to say here!
5k Fun Run/Walk
Our 5k route through the beautiful woodland surroundings of Hestercombe is mostly cross country. Some of the hills are a little challenging but all good fun. It’s perfect for people thinking about entering a 10k run but looking for something smaller to build their confidence. For those that prefer a slower pace, why not come along and walk the route (bring the dog) - a great opportunity to make the most of the peaceful woodland and lake views. Any children under the age of 12 must be accompanied by an adult at all times as the route is not all located within the Hestercombe grounds.
2k Fun Run/Walk
The 2k Fun Run is brilliant for kids and families and those who want to have fun and have a go! We would advise any children under 12 should be accompanied by an adult.
