IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT
Due to the current situation with COVID-19 and social distancing practice, and in the interest of everyone’s health and safety, it is with regret that we feel we have little option but to cancel the Shepton Mallet 10k and Junior 1k on 25 October 2020. Refunds will be offered and all runners will be contacted. We are also looking into the viability of hosting the event on a virtual basis so you can still get your medal. We will be in touch with details soon.
The race will start and finish at Collett Park in the centre of Shepton Mallet, leaving the park crossing Charlton Road down past the town’s famous prison and weaving through the streets before escaping onto scenic country lanes. It’s a hilly but picturesque route - watch out for the two challenging hills along the way! Runners of all abilities are welcome at the event.
We expect spaces to sell out so advice early booking.

- Registration - 8.15 am (race numbers and timing chips to be collected on race day)

- Minimum age of 15 (16 on or before 31/12/20)

- Entry fee - £2.50

We know it can seem a long time for spectators to wait, especially the youngest members of the family, so why not enter your little ones into our very popular 1k Junior Fun run (£2.50 entry includes medal).

The Shepton Mallet 10k is part of the 1610 Race Series, consisting of three 10k races and our family 5k & 2k fun run - which are all located in Somerset and Dorset. By taking part in the 1610 Race Series you are fundraising for your local 1610 leisure centre, providing sports and leisure facilities for the whole community.
